Ms. Shaira, one of our community midwives from far flung area of Gilgit Baltistan, secured 2nd position in final Sindh Nurses Examination Board and after completing her midwifery, she has opened her own birthing station in the community. She is providing MNCH services including antenatal, intranatal, postnatal, child health care, family planning and vaccination services to both mother and child. She is also running general OPD for minor ailments.
Similarly many other community midwives, trained at this school, are working in primary healthcare facilities of Aga Khan Health services and National Maternal and Child Healthcare facilities. Around 15 of our alumni are doing BScN in Karachi and Peshawar Colleges of Nursing. 40% of our alumni are working in Aga Khan University and other reputable hospitals of the Karachi. 50% are working at the Lady Dufferin Hospital. They all are working for a sole mission of reducing the maternal and neonatal mortality rate in Pakistan.
