The first batch of Bachelors of Science in Midwifery (BScM) Programme graduated in November 2014 from the Aga Khan School of Nursing and Midwifery (AKU-SONAM). This batch comprised of 21 students from all over Pakistan including 1 from Afghanistan.
As this is the pilot Programme focusing on midwifery higher education, hence before the graduation week some refreshing activities were conducted as token of remembrance. Students were taken for an outing within the city and then had a joint dinner along with faculties. Next day watches were distributed to all the students of the graduating class as souvenir by the AKU-SONAM Midwifery team. Then on the same day cake cutting was done by the Midwifery team with the students to complete the year successfully.
