A transformative event was held in Gilgit Baltistan to empower working women with critical insights on breast cancer awareness and mental health, supported financially by the Aga Khan Health Service and with technical guidance from the Midwifery Association of Pakistan. Led by Dr. Neelum Jahan, Consultant Obs/Gyn, and Ms. Nawroz from MAP, the event offered a range of engaging activities, including distributing pink ribbons, displaying key health messages, and a gallery walk for interactive learning.
Participants embraced awareness messages on breast cancer’s early detection and shared these messages in public spaces and on social media. The event also featured a musical exercise, encouraging self-expression and mental well-being. Psychologist Ms. Naila shared valuable tips on self-care, self-love, and the role of mental health in building a healthier community.
